NUTS!!!! and the lack thereof......

Now I think I am a fairly easy going person - it takes quite a bit for me to rant* and there isn't much that drives me nuts. One of the top things however is being asked a question or someone asking for advice and them being continually interrupted when you are explaining the answer to them.  I mean, come on peeps, you asked so at least have the decency to listen.

It has a tendency, especially if you continue to interrupt or make up the end of the sentance I am saying at the time, to either make me raise my voice or to put the telephone down on you - surely if you are going to be rude enough to interrupt I can be rude enough to put the phone down on you?  Rant over....

Other random things that tend to get on my last nerve....
  • talking to me when you are physcially in another room and expecting me to a, hear you and b, answer you - only results in everyone raising their voices to be understood - I mean come on what is that all about?
  • when I am polite enough to stop my car to let yours through and you don't even have the decency to say thank you (though that may just be my upbringing - mum taught me to say thank you when anyone did anything for me so it kinda annoys me when others do not do the same - I tend to forget they don't all have my mum as a parent)
  • People who expect me to move out of the way (anywhere really; supermarket, street) even when they are in the wrong**
  • People who do not seem to possess the capability to eat with their mouth closed*** and Alex Ferguson is the worst - I mean come on!!!!!  It's not bad enough that you think you are better than any other football manager, you also have to spend an entire 90 minute match chewing with your mouth open in full view of not only the stadium but those who have the misfortune to watch it on television.
* disclaimer - my immediate family may disagree but in my defence I am not as bad as I used to be and Hubby was the one that said that on Thursday....
** I have to say this, I find this a lot with the older generation - now I have nothing but respect for my elders - my mum again - and rightly so but I just find it rude that some of the older generation feel that because they have been on the earth longer than me they a, don't have to move and b, dont have to say thank you when you do
*** Now I may one day argue that this is a phobia of mine - it truly is fingernails down a black board to me - the noise sets my teeth on edge.  So much so that the poor son of my second husband and my daughter ate earlier than we did because his mother never taught him to keep his mouth closed when chewing and my ex husband constantly told him off for it.  No point telling the poor lad off for 1 day a week when he wasn't told not to do it for the other 6; the poor kid will just end up not wanting to visit - and yes, it was one of the reasons that I threw my ex husband out on his ass - at least be fair to your child......

Normal nuttiness will resume in the next post.....
